Finding the right kind of therapy can feel overwhelming, so here’s a simple breakdown (for my deep thinkers) of some of the approaches I use in sessions. Think of them as different tools in a toolbox—we’ll figure out which ones work best for you!
Ever feel like your brain is working against you? Maybe negative thoughts keep popping up, making you anxious, stressed, or stuck. CBT helps you recognize those unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced ones. It’s like retraining your brain to work for you instead of against you. Together, we’ll figure out what’s holding you back and find practical ways to move forward.
If your emotions sometimes feel too big or overwhelming, DBT can help. It’s all about balance—learning how to sit with your emotions without letting them take over while also building coping skills to handle tough situations. We’ll work on things like mindfulness, emotional regulation, and setting healthy boundaries so you can respond to life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you.
Sometimes, you just need a game plan. Solution-Focused Therapy is all about looking ahead instead of staying stuck in the past. Instead of digging too deep into what’s wrong, we focus on what’s possible—what strengths you already have and how you can use them to create real, lasting change. This approach is great if you’re ready to set goals and start taking small steps toward a better future.
Have you ever felt like there are different versions of you battling inside your head? Maybe one part of you wants to be productive, but another part just wants to curl up and avoid everything. IFS helps you understand those different parts—not to get rid of them, but to help them work together. It’s about healing past wounds, giving yourself more compassion, and finding inner harmony so you can feel more at peace.
No matter what you’re going through, we’ll figure out the best approach for you. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and my goal is to create a space where you feel supported, heard, and empowered to grow.
We offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to get to know you and see how we can support you on your journey. During our chat, we’ll explore what’s bringing you to therapy, your hopes and goals, and the best ways we can work together. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure conversation to help you feel comfortable and informed.
